In Christ

Hey, remember me... its God calling? Did you know God does call us? When was the last time you answered? Have you ever answered? I'm not talking about getting an actual telephone call. I'm talking about in the Spirit. I find that most people are curious about spiritual things. Some people seek the spiritual world and are willing to pay someone to tell them the same vague story they told the last seeker. Why would you go to someone who knows nothing about you to try to get answers about your personal life? Ignoring the very Creator of your life who knows every detail about you – your past and future! Someone who is trying to speak to you every moment of the day – for free!

You may say, "I prayed -God did not answer!”

Were you listening? Do you know His voice or are the voices of the world so loud you missed the answer? Hearing the voice of God is not a skill we are born with nor does it come automatically when we are born again or go to church. We must be taught how to hear God's voice and know that it is God speaking to us. God is speaking to every one of us -whether we go to church or not. If we are in a church that teaches us to recognize God's voice it will be the most supernatural, exciting, wildest... life we could ever imagine. If we are in a church that does not teach us how to hear God for ourselves it will be... well it will be just religion. I tried religion it was boring and powerless to say the least. "The Word of God is alive and powerful and sharper than the sharpest two edged sword, cutting between soul and Spirit, between joint and marrow.!” Heb. 4:12 NLT

We are a Spirit and we live in a body (flesh and bones). Our "true selves” is our spirit. God is Spirit and we are created in His image. So, in order to communicate with Him, we need to learn spiritual things - makes sense right? If we continue through life trying to get to know God "our way” and not God's way we will never reach our full potential - In Christ. I encourage you today to reflect on what you have heard about God and ask yourself -do I really know Him? Would I recognize His voice?

Do I truly know God or only know about Him?

1 Corinthians 2:9-12 "9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” 10 But we know these things because God has revealed them to us by His Spirit, and His Spirit searches out everything and shows us even God’s deep secrets. 11 No one can know what anyone else is really thinking except that person alone, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. 12 And God has actually given us His Spirit (not the world’s spirit) so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.” NLT Bible.
