In Christ

God requires us to accept wealth and to be healthy in order to do His will for our lives.

"Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 2

Some people may get upset when Christians mention anything about God wanting us to live in divine health and to prosper in every way (including our finances), but this is exactly what He wants! True prosperity takes in every aspect of our lives. God expects us to blessed in our health, our finances and our relationships abundantly!

When God supernaturally delivered the children of Israel out of slavery in Egypt, Psalm 105:37 tells us, "He brought them forth also with silver and gold and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.” Even under the Old Covenant God wanted His people to be healthy and wealthy! Today, if you are a Christian, you have a new and better covenant than the old one! How much more does God want His children to be looked after in their health and finances.

You may respond, "Money is the root of all evil!” No it's not. That isn't even in the bible. 1 Timothy 6:10 tells us "For the love of money is the root of all evil.” A person may be very poor and love money (which is sin), yet another person may be very wealthy and not love money (and can be used by God). Money is simply a tool to use for spreading the Gospel! God would not have said, "go forth and spread the gospel” and expect us to finance our trip or travel sickly.

Jesus did not walk around poor. His ministry needed a treasurer. What ministry needs a treasurer if there is no money in the treasury? Would guards gamble over a poor man's garment? No, Jesus became poor for us, He took the whole curse of the law on Himself. This means that every sickness and every disease, as well as the curse of poverty was put on Him at His crucification! Study it out for yourself. Don't believe me just because I'm a minister! It's all in the bible if you take the time to read it through and study what is wrote in so many places.

So, how are we to prosper and be in good health? Well, 3 John 2 lets us know we need to get our soul (our mind, will, and emotions) to prosper. This is done as we read, study, speak, and believe God's Word! In Romans 12:2 this is called "renewing your mind.” We are not to be "conformed to this world.” In other words, we should not think like the world thinks, we need to get God's thoughts entrenched in our minds and hearts!

I want you to start reading your bible like you have never read it before today. Don't fall into the rut of believing a certain way because that is what you have been taught so far. Start asking Holy Spirit to help you understand what the Lord is saying to you, and He will, because He is your Helper and Guide!

God has your miracle of healing today, whether it is in your body or increasing your finances.
