In Christ
Faith vs Fear – Faith is more than just mentally agreeing that there is a God. Fear is more than the feeling of terror or dread. Both are spiritual forces. Faith comes from God and is based on hearing His Word and promises. (see Romans 10:17) Fear comes from Satan and is based on listening to his lies and bullying tactics.
Both faith and fear should never be based on how we "feel”. They are not feelings, they are spiritual forces! We may not have a bold "feeling” of faith to act in faith on God's Word. Likewise, we may not have a "feeling” of fear to be held back from doing what we are called to do.
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Tim. 1:7 (NLT) Since God doesn't give us the spirit of fear, then as Christians we don't have to put up with it. We can refuse to fear!
Most people don't know that they have a choice to make. We can choose to live and act on faith, or we can choose to believe the lies of the accuser and deceiver (Satan).
The best thing you can do is to make an informed decision! Inform yourself from the Word of God what He says about both subjects.
"Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about the things we cannot see.” Hebrews 11:1 NLT
We can put a certain amount of faith in what people promise, depending on how well we know them, and how much integrity they have. How much more can we put our faith in God who cannot lie!
I need to warn you though, your faith won't work the way it is designed to if you are fussing and fighting with people, or refusing to forgive. The apostle Paul writes in Galatians 5:6 "For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love.” (Amplified Bible) In the Christian life, love is a commandment – not an option! We are to love people and have faith in God and all His promises. When we act in faith we will see victory, because it is God who fights our battles and meets our needs.
When we make a decision to forgive those who wronged us and leave it in God's hands God gets involved, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay saith the Lord!” Romans 12:19
