In Christ

You must have faith in two places. When I first heard these words it started a process that changed my life forever. There I was years ago, in my tractor and going around and around the field with the words of Gloria Copeland filling my heart with the Word of God. This was the start of my journey of knowing the truth about God's way of doing things.

I can still hear her saying, "You must have faith in two places, in your heart and in your mouth!” We must have faith first in our heart this is how we are born again and become Christian. I now know with full confidence I will spend eternity with Jesus because of my faith in the Word of God, in my heart.

John 17:1-5(NLT) ¹After saying all these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you. ²For you have given him authority over everyone. He gives eternal life to each one you have given him. ³And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.

Romans 8:7-11(NLT) ⁷For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God's laws, and it never will. ⁸That's why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. ⁹But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.) ¹⁰And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you lifebecause you have been made right with God.
¹¹The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, He will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

Romans 8:14(NLT) ¹⁴For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.

If you are In Christ , a born again believer you can expect to be led by the Spirit of God! That excites me. The creator of the heavens and earth speaks to me and He will speak to you as well, if you have faith to hear His voice.

The second place we must have faith is in our mouth! This where some people miss out on the full package, of the blessings from God. Too many people don't get their prayers answered for healing, for example because they may start with faith in their hearts, but then when they don't see immediate results they start saying, well it must not have been God's will.” We know it is God's will to heal our bodies because it is very clear in His Word -so we need to say so! Thank God for His healing every day until it does come and don't say anything against the truth and you will see your miracle! That is having faith on your lips!

If you just know about God all you have is religion. If you know the truth about God and you speak it out your mouth He will work through you and you will experience true Christianity. That is the life that is far more exciting then I ever knew could be possible. Church was boring to me when all I had was religion, but not anymore! If you ever wondered what Word of Faith really taught well this is it! The keys of receiving all the promises that are ours from a Loving Father, by having faith in two places.

It must be on your lips and in your heart!

Romans 10:8-11(NLT) ⁸In fact, it says, "The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.” And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: ⁹If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. ¹⁰For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.

I am so thankful for the Word of Faith message it has set me free of religion in so many ways. I have had many opportunities to grow my faith over the years in my walk with the Lord, but I find it always comes back to two keys. One, building my faith by spending time in His Word, the bible, which is spending time with Him. The second key is to speak what I believe according to the Word of God.
